What Comes Next: A New Era For Every

The question that drives everything we do

34 3

Big news: We completely redesigned and revamped Every to focus on one question:

“What comes next?”

Our answers to this question become:

It’s a new era at Every, and we needed a central question to organize around. We think that “What comes next?” is the most important of our time.

Check out our completely redesigned website:

Here’s what you can expect:

Why now?

We’ve been in business since 2020. Since then we’ve:

  • Published 1,500 essays from some of the smartest collection of business and technology writers in the world
  • Reached almost 4,000 paid subscribers, $60,000 in monthly recurring revenue (MRR), and more than $3 million in total revenue
  • Incubated three software products
  • Launched popular courses on topics like writing, programming, and psychology
  • Built a full-time team of seven people

But over the past four years, we’ve never really been able to describe what Every covers. When we started it was a bundle of newsletters, but now it’s a single publication. We’ve made attempts here and there, but it was mostly just a vibe.

We think this central question encapsulates the spirit of curiosity and ambition that we try to bring to the world every day.

We hope you love it as much as we do.

thanks for the update Dan. Anything I can do to help or through my connections at Lehigh University are here to help you. Still remember you saying when you guest lectured you want to be the next Michael Bloomberg type company. best, Craig

Thanks Dan. That's clear. Gone is the original bundle of business publications and it's the next business model. It's one newsletter, a technology incubator, and software manufacturer/delivery system. What matters is it is your dream, your life, your decisions.

I like this.
When I started reading this piece, I thought it was going to say that Every was all in on AI - which would reflect the focus of late, but would have left me a little disappointed.
However the "What comes next?" question excites me, because it means you have your eye on the next thing (whenever it arrives), and we can expect you to help take us on that journey when it starts.
I also love the product incubator aspect of Every that has emerged. It feels like a real differentiator compared to other things out there, and a great benefit for subscribers to be able to experience the those products and to get a front seat on your journey to create them.
Keep up the great work!
