"My rule is to never take instructions on how hard I should work from someone who hasn’t burned out before. Very few people take this seriously enough."

I loved this part. This year I had an episode where my motivation was just gone from one day to another. It felt like a riddle at first but I just intuitively listened to what my body and mind where telling me. Just do what feels fight and not what you think you should be doing (which was too much at that time).

Agency is a quality Im only coming to terms with at 49. While I feel a skepticism at your claim that it can be learned, I am willing to see how far I can get. Im going to practice expected rejection, it will give me a chance to try my version of a cv/application. Thank you.

Love this esp. learning to love, and embrace, the “most of low status.” As someone who’s gone through the school of hard knocks (several times, several schools!!) I know all too well to never give up! Plus I now have a name to go with that experience!!

@psalvitti “moat” not “most”

As a long-time reader of Every I have usually read the re-published stuff before, and I'll confess to sometimes being slightly annoyed to have something resurfaced (sorry, I know it's well considered! 😄). But this time I decided to re-read this one and it hit differently. I seldom rate "Amazing", I guess I'm just a tough reviewer, but it felt justified this time. Saving this for future inspiration and reminder!
